Privacy & Data Policy — Amoremiau Dating

Last updated: 28 September 2025

1. Who we are

Amoremiau Dating ("we", "us", "Amoremiau") operates the Amoremiau Dating service and is the data controller for personal data collected through our website and services. Our contact for privacy matters: privacy@amoremiau.example.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect the following personal data when you provide it to us or create a profile:

  • Identity: name
  • Age / date of birth: used for age verification and service eligibility
  • Habits: eating habits, smoking habits
  • Beliefs: religion (optional)
  • Location: city/area or approximate location you supply
  • Support & account data: email, support messages, and other voluntary profile fields
Important: Some of the fields you may provide (for example religion and potentially eating or smoking habits where they reveal health-related information) may be treated as special category or sensitive data under EU law. We only process those fields with your explicit consent.

3. Legal bases for processing

We rely on the following lawful bases under the GDPR to process personal data:

  • Consent: for optional profile fields that are sensitive (e.g. religion, health-related details) and for marketing or non-essential cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time).
  • Contractual necessity: where processing is required to provide the service you signed up for (e.g., age, name, login credentials and essential profile fields needed to match you with others).
  • Legitimate interests: for fraud prevention, service security, and improving the service — we perform a balancing test to ensure your rights are not overridden.

4. Children and age limits

Our service is intended for adults only. You must be at least 16 years old to use Amoremiau unless your country’s law sets a lower age (but never below 13). If you are under the legal age for giving your own consent in your country, we will require parental consent or refuse service. We do not knowingly collect accounts for children below the required age.

5. Cookies, tracking and affiliate marketplace

We do not run tracking scripts on the main Amoremiau website except for the affiliate marketplace area. That affiliate area uses third-party affiliate cookies/trackers that are necessary for the affiliate program to function. Where tracking or marketing cookies are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your prior consent (you can manage cookie settings through our cookie banner).

6. How we use your data

  • To provide and operate the matchmaking and messaging features;
  • To verify your age and eligibility;
  • To personalize your experience and match suggestions;
  • To send transactional messages (account, security or service updates);
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • To operate the affiliate marketplace (with your consent where required).

7. Sharing and third parties

We share personal data only as necessary and under strict agreements:

  • With service providers who operate hosting, emailing, security and analytics on our behalf (processors) — all bound by contract to process data only as we instruct;
  • With payment and fraud-prevention providers where needed;
  • With law enforcement or regulators where required by law;
  • With affiliate partners when you interact with the affiliate marketplace — these partners may set their own cookies and trackers; we require affiliate partners to meet data protection standards and, where applicable, obtain user consent.

8. Data hosting, transfers and international processing

All user data is hosted within the European Union. If we ever need to transfer data outside the EU / EEA, we will do so only where an adequate level of protection is guaranteed (for example an EU Commission adequacy decision) or by using approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms. We will notify you of any meaningful change to this approach in advance where required by law.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes listed above and to meet legal or contractual obligations. Typical retention periods:

  • Account data and profile: retained while your account is active and for up to 2 years after account deletion for fraud prevention and legal compliance;
  • Transactional logs and support requests: up to 3 years unless otherwise required;
  • Aggregate, anonymized data used for analytics: retained indefinitely in anonymized form.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion ("right to be forgotten") subject to legal limitations;
  • Restrict or object to processing where applicable;
  • Request portability of the personal data you provided;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • Complain to a supervisory authority in your EU member state if you believe your rights have been violated.

To exercise any right, email us at privacy@amoremiau.example and we will respond within the legally required timeframes.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. Examples include encryption at rest and in transit, access controls and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be 100% secure — if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.

12. How to withdraw consent and delete your account

You can withdraw consent by logging into your account and changing privacy settings or by emailing privacy@amoremiau.example. To request permanent deletion of your account and personal data, use the account deletion feature in settings or contact privacy@amoremiau.example. Deletion requests will be processed promptly but may take time to complete across backups and third-party systems; we will inform you when deletion is completed.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will notify you via the email address on file or by a prominent notice on the service.
